According to Hadley’s great-grandfather, his parents were victims of Typhoid Mary Mallon. The infamous typhoid epidemic that took place in Manhattan, New York City in the early 1900s claimed Hadley’s great-great-grandparents. The nomad that Ben Trevelyan (aka Ezra Pound) became was formed by becoming an orphan in his early teenage years. Ben is very cagey about the stories that he has relayed to Hadley. Her grandfather Ted in turn tends to be circumspect about his past. Hadley has not yet told me if she’s gleaned any other stories from her maternal grandfather Ted Trevelyan. He is a photographic enthusiast, but it is not revealed what he loves to photograph the most.
